Bluetooth Advertising Networks

I think the time has come for the appearance of Bluetooth Advertising Networks. These networks consist of Bluetooth Hotspots with network capabilities and centralized management. There are a number of solutions that support these features andit has to do with the software of the whole system.
Blipsystems, Bluevibe, Mobiltouch, Futurlink are some manufacturers that support such features.
Recently I came across an article about a network built in USA by Ipsh and Intera. The press release claims that 

"Intera's Bluetooth Proximity Marketing network will cover over 500 locations in the Top 10 Designated Market Areas (DMAs) in the U.S. by the end of 2008."

It is fascinating to have a direct marketing tool covering so many people. I am sure we will see more in the future.
