Proximity Marketing Future Looks Bright
Written on Saturday, September 27, 2008
Seems like the future of proximity marketing is bright and promising. A new report published by Strategy Analytics claims that 73% of all new cars and other light vehicles, produced by 2015, will have Bluetooth, 56% will have USB and 49% both.
It is clear that the prospects for proximity marketing are expanding, and the range of devices extends to include, apart from mobile devices, vehicles as well. This means that in-car displays, and other media available in the car, will now be made available to marketers, providing for a much wider range of services and a richer experience by the participants of a mobile marketing campaign.
Just think how frustrating traffic jams are, and what a perfect point of opportunity they are for running a marketing campaign. I think that with both mobiles and cars available as targets for mobile marketing, the possibilities, as the cliche goes, are endless..
