Police are planning to start using Bluetooth as one of the measures to fight Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) caused by excessive drinking by teenagers in Southport, UK. Acoording to the article:

They aim to use the technology to warn people when they are on patrol and targeting those who shouldn’t be out drinking.Unfortunately, the article does not describe in detail how this will work, so I hope it's not just a publicity stunt. Good use of the technology could actually have some result - poorly thought and planned actions, would probably have none. I'm looking forward to find out more about how this goes.
