Bluetooth proximity marketing is a method which allows the users of a bluetooth device to interact with various advertising agencies by receiving fresh information on various products such as vouchers, coupons etc. The user also receives music files, video files, contact information, V cards, and other product information; which may prove useful from a user’s perspective.

3.    This phenomenon depends on the broadcast server range for a specific locality.
4.    To get free content delivery, the bluetooth in the devices need to be kept switched on and it should be also in visible mode so that no problem would occur to receive these advertising. This procedure is called as “Call-to-Action”.
5.    If the bluetooth device is found within the broadcast range and if it is visible to all, an automated confirmation message appears on the user’s bluetooth device whether they are comfortable to receive such free contents.
6.    If the user confirms, then only the free contents are delivered otherwise not. So, there is no security fear involved.
7.    The content delivered in this proximity marketing is usually informative, engaging and interactive.
8.    To avail more facilities of the bluetooth proximity marketing, the bluetooth system needs to be enabled to recognize the bluetooth device models and deliver contents accordingly.

6. It also supports viral implications that means, the advertising can be shared from device to device and spreads without any efforts.
7. By this marketing strategy, the end receiver is not charged anything.
Bluetooth proximity marketing provides the advertising solutions to impart and share information on entertainment, discounts, coupons, and various promotional events for the user. It connects the content providers, retailers, advertisers, and public space operators to the customers directly in a cheapest way.

    This is a great way to engage potential customers, although the negative it seems is that the person who would be recieving the content would need to have their Bluetooth enabled on their phone. This is not always the case, and most devices are only visible for a short amount of time. This also makes it difficult to ensure that the marketing efforts are most effective.
