A really good infographic I came across recently, presenting a historical overview of the various mobile app stores.

The history starts in 2008 when the Apple App Store launched, with just 500 apps, to today with billions of apps downloaded so far - more than the whole population on Earth today.

    Ohh..!! Don’t talk about the apps. One can not even imagine how many apps are available. There are n number of apps considering different OS.
